The School Day
At the beginning of each school day, the gates are opened at 8:20am to enable the children to come straight into the classrooms. Class teachers will set up morning activities for the children to complete before the school day officially starts. Key Stage Two start school at 8.35am, Key Stage One at 8.40am. Learning will begin straight away, so it’s very important that children are not late. The school operates a breakfast club from 7.45am. The nursery gates open at 8.30am.
Key Stage Two children have a school week which lasts for 32.5 hours and Key Stage One and Reception have a week which lasts 31.25 hours.
At the end of the day, we ask parents to collect their children from their classroom doors. This allows for valuable daily contact with the class teachers and ensures that children are passed safely back to their parents. Key Stage One children finish school at 3.00pm, while Key Stage Two and Nursery children finish at 3.15pm. Each day, we offer a variety of extra-curricular clubs. In addition, our After School Club provides wrap-around care until 6pm every evening.
