Nursery & Reception children will need to have a pair of named Wellingtons at school for outdoor play.
Any parent requiring assistance to purchase school uniform should approach the Headteacher or Chair of Governors. Any such requests are treated confidentially.
Hair and Jewellery
Hair should be tied back if it is long enough (both for boys and girls). Hairbands should be small, simple and in school colours.
In line with our school ethos, we like our children to be smart in their appearance and therefore ‘extreme’ haircuts are not permitted in school. We define ‘extreme’ as any haircut that is significantly different so as to cause distraction to, or attention from, others. This would include shaved patterns, tram lines or equivalent, shaved sides with longer hair across the centre, short hair with pony tail, unnatural hair colouring, etc. This list is not exhaustive. When joining the school, parents/carers are expected to fully support this policy at all times. Long hair should be tied back at all times and short hair in a suitable style for school.
One stud earring is permitted in the lobe of each ear. No other jewellery is permitted without prior permission. The children need to remove all jewellery (including ear-rings) for P.E.
